Days of being in love CHAPTER 1b
“Meeting Mr. Quarterback”
Classes are done, now spending our time here at our fave bakeshop, at Lafayette Bakery, by the way, have I told you that they make the best cinnamon rolls near here at NYU? I so love French bakeshops.
Oh… look at that, here goes Mr. good guy, that’s what other says, Blake Peterson, our Football team’s quarterback, he got that position, well he’s good enough to deserve it, yet bad enough for girls to have him, I mean, he’s not even a good guy for real, I can even still remember what he did to me, way back before at 8th grade, oh my, that was so embarrassing and awful.
“Oh my God, Ice, did you see that?” Lussie whispered.
“What?” said Ice.
“He blinked on us, oh that was so great!”
“Who?” said Sarah.
“What do you girls mean? Blake Peterson just blinked on us! Oh he’s so hot!”
“Oh Lussie, shut up. Ice, would you like to call Shia?”
“My Anna, it’s just for fun, I mean…oh never mind.”
“Oh my God Anna, is this like for real? He’s coming!” said Selena.
Then suddenly, Blake came, with some of his team members.
“Hi girls!” said Blake.
“Hi Blake, so what’s up? How was the game?” said Sarah.
“Sarah, you close with Blake? Hahaha” said Lussie.
“Yeah Blake, how was the game?” said Sette, Blake’s team mate, everybody laughed.
“Thanks for asking, it was great Sar… Sarah? Am I right?”
“Yup!” said Sarah with a smiling face.
“Anyway, it would be great if you girls can give your names. If you girls won’t mind?” said Blake with that blinked eye effect.
Oh I really hate that, it’s so irritating, makes me sick.
“Oh, Blake’s making the move,” his team mates laughs.
“Oh shut up Jin. Sorry for that, he’s just like that, well…most of the time.”
“No problem, we’re pretty much used to it, so…here is Selena.” Introduced by Sarah, and Selena shake hands with Blake.
“Lussie, Ice and…” while introducing some of us, my phone suddenly rang, and of course what am I supposed to do? Answer my phone, “Sorry, please excuse me for a while.”
“Oh…maybe, that was Anthony? The lover boy calls…” Ice whispers to Sarah, both laughs.
“Sorry about that, anyway, that was Anna.”
“Oh, a call from her boyfriend?” said Blake.
“Why Blake, are you jealous? Oh man! Too slow!” said
“Absolutely not, she never had a guy before” said Lussie.
“Always been single, NBSB,” said Sarah.
Then I came back “So what’s up? Sorry about that.”
“It was fine, NP tsk nah….” said Jin.
“Oh by the way, this is Jin, Sette, Austin and Mike” said Blake “Hi girls!” guys replied.
So little conversations, chit chat with the guys, everything went good and wow, I didn’t expect for Blake to be that nice. I mean, it was really different compared before, or maybe it was some kind of pretentious effect just too caught girl’s attention and everything. Oh still, I hate him.
“That was great! Thanks for your time girls. It was great making friends with you.” Blake
“Hope you girls can watch our next game this Friday,” said
“Sure! We will,” Selena replied.
So the boys went off and we’re still here at the bakeshop. Girl’s talked about the boys, and everything, well, Ice pretty much liked Mike. Well, Mike was nice, yet a bit silent compared to his team mates especially with Austin, I didn’t know he was that laud, at first he was just laughing and not that talkative, then suddenly…wow, he talked so fast, got a lot of crazy ideas, he was even like a story teller, I mean wow, he was so nice and awesome unlike Blakey’ Blake, oh that guy is a freak, for me.
“Okay girls, I’ve got to go now.”
“Oh Anna don’t be such a kill joy, it’s still 5 in afternoon, too early for you to leave,” said Selena.
“I’m really sorry, but still got a lot of work to do, you know mom, don’t worry tomorrow I’ll stay until 8 in the evening, that’s a promise!”
“Fine, you take care,” said Ice. “Okay?” said Lussie.
“Of course I will. You girls too…okay bye. God bless!”
“Bye Anna!” the girls replied.
“Call me soon as you get home!” said Lussie.
“Sure! I will!”
So now I’m on my way home, this is going to be a pretty long ride again maybe I’ll just take the cab, for me not to walk anymore, besides I’m already tired.
“Mom, dad, I’m home!”
“Have you already ate dinner?” said mom.
“Yeah, I’m done. I ate dinner with the girls. Thanks.”
“Good! Now, do your task then soon as you’re done, you go to sleep. Okay?” said dad.
While going up stairs, going to my room…
“I will, by the way. I promised Ice that I’ll stay until…maybe like 10pm?”
“My dear, don’t you think that’s too late? Again… It’s dangerous to go home that late” said mom.
“Go home early tomorrow” said dad.
So I went to them just to please them.
“Please dad, I promised to them that I’ll stay longer tomorrow. I’ll just use my car, so there’s nothing to worry about, please.”
“Fine, just use your car tomorrow, and call us when you’re about to go home. Okay?” said dad.
“I will, promise! I really love you guys!” so give them a hug, besides I always do what I promised, with that pinky swear.
“Now, go up stairs, and do all your task then sleep,” said mom.
“Night mom! Night dad!”
So I went up stairs, now already at my room and start digging for my tasks. Oh, I totally forgot to call Lussie. Anyway I’ll just text her, just like what I’m used to do. Another bunch, bucket of assignments, just like other students, I really hate it, but of course I have no choice but to do these stuffs. Then, off to bed…so that’s it, until tomorrow, good night ladies, sleep tight.
